A Group story
ITGA is a global company, subsidiary of Groupe CARSO, with more than 25 years of experience in sampling and laboratory analysis of building pollutants and chemical agents.
Created by Prof. Martin in 1994 as a division of the School of Chemicals in Rennes (France), ITGA’s first occupation was focused on legionella analysis until significant changes happened in the asbestos regulation in France between 1996-1997. These changes triggered ITGA’s main activity towards a strong expertise around asbestos analysis using Polarised Light Microscopy, Phase Contrast Microscopy and mostly Transmission Electron Microscopy. A skill that we have preserved since and that we are sharing abroad through our international developments.
In 2000, ITGA became a subsidiary of Groupe CARSO (leader in water analysis) to complement their analytical know-how with specific external developments, particularly, the asbestos analysis activities that ITGA acquired since 1996.
Knowing that the occupational hygiene industry covers a large spectrum of professionals and industrial outside of the asbestos niche, from 2006 until now, ITGA has worked on its expansion and development of particular services around the HSE such as silica and nanoparticles monitoring and analysis, chemical and physical risks management, IAQ, and more. This successful diversification has lead to the opening of our dedicated HSE laboratory in St-Etienne (France) in 2019 that offers from now on analytical services of more than 500 chemical agents.

Our ambition has conducted ITGA to introduce the international market in 2018 to provide a global support to our customers on services around asbestos testing, training, certification, events, digital solutions, and more in Australia, Canada, Chile, Spain and other countries that are looking into innovative OHS solutions.

Why Australia ?
Following this synergy, it is in 2018 that ITGA took the decision to go further in its expansion with an eye oriented toward the international scene. Looking at how things are moving abroad regarding the asbestos market and checking for opportunities to offer our expertise to countries that are digging into solutions to enhance the safety of people and professionals. In starting there in Australia’s dynamic market and creating the first ever international office in Sydney followed by the opening of another office in Montreal (Canada) the same year: ITGA-Group was born.
A great milestone was reached in 2020 with the celebration of ITGA-Group’s first international laboratory: COHLABS-TEM. A joint-venture in Brisbane, NATA accredited in 2021 that focuses on asbestos analysis using the golden analytical standard: Transmission Electron Microscopy.
